African Remedies is a lifelong dream come true for me. Growing up, I watched my dad, who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at an early age, take naturopathic medicine religiously. He would often comment on the benefits these remedies had on his health. His habit soon spread to our entire family, and we frequently received requests from relatives back home to ship them various natural supplements, as my dad only used Western or Chinese natural supplements.

Over the years, I visited several African countries and observed that people still rely on local medicine in each region. I watched my aunts boil kinin leaves to lower a fever or treat malaria, and I thought, “What if we went back to the source and shared the knowledge that many Africans, especially those living in rural areas, still possess and practice?”
